Woven Wildernest is an Ephemeral Art Work commissioned by BGKP in 2017 for the Wildflower Festival. It consists of a 6m nest created from an old jarrah tree felled at the site and many pallet loads of branches collected by the park. I created the nest and then placed the egg form into the carefully prepared footing. The egg was firstly formed from a welded steel framework which was then covered in a few layers of fencing wire to which fresh native flowers were inserted, highlighting the Kwongan Heath Plants of the southwest of Western Australia.
