This diptych was painted in Chengdu, China.
Chengdu is the sister city of Perth and they invited artists from all their sister cities to experience their city and leave paintings for a a friendship conference held in September 2012.
I chose to paint a landscape incorporating aspects of their cultural heritage as well as showing their expanding city.
